Tarawera COVID-19 Ambassadors

Year 7 -Tiara

When I drew the border I thought it should have coronavirus going into the picture which represents how the border was closed. The border broke and covid 19 struck NZ. I chose to do this to show how the virus can spread easily through my creativity. I chose to use 2 languages to make it relevant to more people..

Year 8 - Hazel

I created my poster to represent social distancing, the importance of wearing masks. The reason why I had the world in there with the leaf was me hoping that by everyone doing what they are meant to, the world will return to how it once was- peaceful and harmonious and being able to travel and see loved ones without any worry of this virus stopping them or hurting anyone.

Year 9- Alaska

"Don't be a drag, get the jab". I created this poster to be eye-catching and relevant to the youth of Kawerau. We have low vaccination rates in town, so the more we can do to encourage our young people to get vaccinated the better it will be. I thought the slogan was quite catchy and fun. I like the bright eye-catching colours on the dragon. The background helps people to recognise that it is about covid-19.
