Flaxmere Hastings COVID-19 Ambassadors

Our year 7 and 8 were very excited to participate in creating posters that motivate their peers to become Covid-19 safe.

Lyric

The world is sick with Covid19 and we need to do something about it, the government say to get vaccinated and that is what we should do.

I have had my first jab and when the time comes I will get my second one and be protected from the virus. I won’t be bringing the virus back home with me.

I’m glad my mum gave me permission to get vaccinated because I am under 16.

Ella:

I think that we need to get vaccinated and this will protect our whanau and our community.  Some people don’t think it is a good thing and you might turn into a Zombie but I think that is silly thinking.

We haven’t got time to muck around, we need to hurry up and get vaccinated before Christmas so we can visit our families.

Makayla:

The best way to prevent the spread of coronavirus is to get vaccinated. I think it is very important especially for our whānau who are old and for my friends.

By doing this we are making sure the future is bright for our whānau.

Ataahua :

I think that people should be able to travel and see their loved ones, especially at Christmas time.

The vaccine is important if we want to get back to some sort of normal life where we can visit our families.

There are some silly ideas around getting the vaccination and that needs to change so we decided to do these posters.

Posters are currently on display:-on the school’s facebook page
