PTC trust was pleased to launch its COVID-19 LEADERSHIP INITIATIVE for Māori/Pasifika students for 2021 experiencing economic/social/ material hardship. PTC TRUST COVID-19 LAPTOP LEADERSHIP INITIATIVE was established in response to the COVID-19 lock-downs that challenged many of our students, schools and teachers over the past year.

Through this kaupapa, PTC not only provides a tool that many rangatahi/youths may not own, but also begins empowering youth with a voice to communicate positively to whānau, tamariki, rangatahi as we join together to fight and survive COVID-19. Posters needed to be informative with original artwork, own photos taken and could target any age group.

PTC received overwhelming support across our schools in NZ. Principals and leadership teams judged the student groups and provided us with their winners’ choices. Laptops or Chromebooks were awarded to successful participants, thanks to Lotteries Grant. Posters were distributed on websites, in libraries and newsletters across the various communities
