Drones and Tree planting Ōpōtiki

Ready for the day! Students were focused as Kallaway and his team shared their knowledge of coding and its utility to the wider group.

Coding has become an essential skill of the future opening up career possibilities in computer programming, computer network architecture, software and web developer and more…

The group chose their local golf course for the tree planting initiative. As part of the prep beforehand, the Junior Maths group were innovative and creative, coming up with different ways to navigate their drones. Their teacher tasked them to use the white line as a guide to map the course for the first three holes.

The golf club is hoping the trees planted by our rangatahi will grow to form a canopy.
