Drones Mokoia

Trough the PTC drones workshop, youth spent the day learning about angles, geometry and a range of mathematical concepts. Students shared their class notes showcasing the special names given to different types of triangles, such as equilateral triangles, scalene and isosceles triangles. As students understood that the angles within these are all unique, they began getting their head around the differences and created pathways for the drones to travel.

Our Noel Leeming expert spent the time reinforcing such concepts and putting them to practical use through the coding of drones. The second part of the workshop involved flying the drones and identifying rubbish around the school. It was amazing how much rubbish is accumulated during the school day and the types of rubbish they found.

Let’s be wise and continue keeping our school environment clean. This was the take-home message after such an enjoyable and enriching day. Incredible job everyone!
